Installation Guide - Thin Real Stone Veneers
Before we begin, make sure you have all the necessary tools and materials. You will need a Pair of Shears, Sandpaper for Corners if needed, Tile Adhesive (Loctite), and a grout or sealant if needed, and of course, your Thin Real Stone Veneer Panels. Before beginning the installation process, ensure the surface where the Stone Veneer will be applied is clean, dry, and structurally sound. Remove any dust, dirt.
Step 1: Measuring and Cutting - Accurately measure the surface area to determine how many sheets of veneer you'll need. Use Shears or a Table Saw to cut the flexible stone veneer to fit the dimensions of your surface. Ensure cuts are clean and straight for a better fit.
Step 2: Applying Adhesive - Apply a strong tile adhesive to the surface using a sealant or caulking gun. Make sure the adhesive covers the area evenly. For best results, recommend using an adhesive like Loctite.
Step 3: Installing the Veneer - Carefully press the flexible stone veneer sheets with the adhesive, starting from one corner and working your way across. Ensure each sheet is aligned and firmly pressed to eliminate air bubbles. Use a leveling tool to ensure the veneer is even. Adjust as needed before the adhesive sets completely.
Step 4: Finishing Touches - Wipe away any excess adhesive that may have squeezed out between the veneer sheets with a damp sponge or cloth. If needed, apply a grout or sealant to the sheets. Allow the adhesive and any sealant to cure fully according to their manufacturer’s instructions before exposing the surface to any stress or moisture, usually 30-50 mins.
By following these steps, you’ll achieve a professional and lasting installation of flexible stone veneer. Enjoy your new, stylish real stone surface!
